Neighborhood Sun 2024 Impact Report

In 2024, Neighborhood Sun delivered on its mission to make clean, affordable energy accessible to households of all income levels. We nearly doubled our total savings and community donations from the year before and delivered record-high discounts to low- and moderate-income residents. Through community solar, individuals can help transition their communities to clean energy while ensuring the resulting savings are reinvested back into the community. 

As a public benefit corporation, we continue to deliver benefits to people, communities, and the environment through our work. We are proud to dive into how we benefit all our stakeholders in this report.

Equity and Access for LMI Communities
Neighborhood Sun focused heavily on expanding access for low- and moderate-income (LMI) households:

  • 2,617 LMI subscribers served

  • $1.3 million saved by LMI households

  • 34.8 million kWh of clean energy delivered to LMI participants

  • 24,680 metric tons of CO₂ avoided by LMI subscribers
    Many LMI households benefit from discounts ranging from 20%–50% on solar credits, depending on project and location, easing energy cost burdens for families who need it most
