B Corps are businesses working to make the planet a better place. That’s why we’re always thrilled to support the efforts of other B Corps whenever we can.

Last month, Neighborhood Sun partnered with United By Blue and a few other fellow B Corps in Colorado to organize a community clean-up of the South Platte River. We had a great turnout and were happy to see so many of our subscribers showing up for their community.
We gathered in front of the flagship REI and collected ~350 lbs of waste from the river and surrounding areas. There were folks of all ages who showed up to support our efforts.
After everyone’s hard work, we celebrated with some fruit-based ice cream from Banananom and prizes provided by United by Blue.
Ever wondered if yours is the only community solar farm in Colorado?

Don’t worry–you’re not alone! Today, we have 25 active community solar farms generating credits for subscribers like yourself across the Xcel territory and 7 farms that are currently under construction. We are proud to be helping more than 7,000 Colorado subscribers access the financial and environmental benefits of shared solar, including commercial subscribers like the Denver Airport and thousands of nearby households.
Keep in mind that these dates are expected but not guaranteed, as it’s ultimately out of our hands when a community solar farm goes live. First, the developer has to complete construction, and then the utility has to connect it to the grid. When your project goes live, you will get an email to notify you that you should start seeing solar credits on your utility bill soon. If your project is delayed, we will notify you.
