The Coxsackie community solar project is located just southwest of the town of Coxsackie, New York and the parcel of land hosting the solar farm is about 32 acres. As a result of building this solar farm, an additional 75 acres of land has been established and protected as raptor habitat in collaboration with Green Land Trust.
Residents and small businesses within the Central Hudson Gas & Electric utility territory can subscribe and receive a 10% discount on their electricity costs. Additionally, Coxsackie residents will be receiving an additional sign-on bonus as part of the community solar offer.
A recent electric bill is necessary to connect your community solar subscription to our utility account. Either electronic or paper copies are acceptable.
You can start your subscription with a bank account, credit card, or debit card. We do not charge you until the community solar farm is turned on and generating electricity for your subscription.
This step is only required for those who may qualify for the S.H.A.R.E.™ program for low- to moderate-income residents. Examples include Medicaid card, EBT, and SNAP card.
