Astral Power, powered by Neighborhood Sun was selected as a part of the American-Made Inclusive Solar Outreach Awards, an effort to recognize and share best practices in inclusive communications about solar. Neighborhood Sun’s campaign to bring community solar access to rural and lower-income neighborhoods was successful thanks to the key relationships built with local community groups and leaders.
Neighborhood Sun is planting 100 trees through our community partner, ForestPlanet, for each investor who invests at least $500 in our community round before it closes on September 16, 2022.
Last week, the Montgomery County Housing Opportunities Commission (MCHOC) subscribed six of its properties to Neighborhood Sun’s landmark Oaks Landfill community solar farm, bringing clean energy access to the low- and moderate-income (LMI) residents of 829 affordable housing units.
